Financial Aid Options

Dragon Rises College participates in the Title IV Federal Student Financial Aid Programs. Eligible students may apply for federal financial assistance to help cover the cost of their education.

Florida Bright Futures

Dragon Rises College proudly accepts the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship for eligible students.

If you have already been awarded Bright Futures benefits, our Financial Aid Office can help determine how your award may be applied toward your educational expenses. Florida Bright Futures and the Florida Postsecondary Student Assistance Grant are available to qualifying Florida residents who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree.

We encourage all eligible Florida students to explore these valuable state-funded opportunities.


Applying for Federal Financial Aid

Getting started is easy.

Step 1

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®).

Step 2

Complete your required:

  • Student Loan Entrance Counseling
  • Master Promissory Note (MPN)

Step 3

Once all required documents have been received, our Financial Aid Office will prepare a personalized financial aid estimate outlining your first academic year (two semesters). You may review your award and accept the recommended loan amount or request a different amount based on your educational needs.

Students must complete a new FAFSA each academic year, and federal loans are certified annually.


Veterans Educational Benefits

Dragon Rises College is approved for:

  • VA Educational Benefits
  • VA Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits
  • Florida Department of Education Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits

Eligible veterans and dependents may apply for benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Federal student loans are a significant financial commitment. Before borrowing, students are encouraged to review:

Our Financial Aid Office is available to help you understand your borrowing options and answer any questions before you accept your loan.


Withdrawal and Return of Federal Financial Aid

Federal regulations require Dragon Rises College to perform a Return of Title IV (R2T4) calculation for students who withdraw or cease attendance before completing a payment period.

This calculation determines the amount of federal financial aid earned based on the student’s attendance. Unearned funds may be returned to the appropriate federal aid program, which could result in a balance owed to the College.

Dragon Rises College complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records.

FERPA provides students with the right to:

  • Inspect and review their education records
  • Request corrections to inaccurate records
  • Control the disclosure of personally identifiable information, as permitted by law
