Continue Your Mission Through Healing

Veterans Make Exceptional Healthcare Providers

Your service doesn’t have to end when you leave the military.

At Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine, we believe many of the qualities that make outstanding service members—discipline, integrity, leadership, compassion, and a commitment to helping others—also make exceptional practitioners of East Asian Medicine.

If you’re looking for a meaningful second career where you can continue making a difference in people’s lives, a future in acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine may be the path you’ve been searching for.

Why Veterans Choose Dragon Rises

Veterans understand the importance of serving something greater than themselves. A career in East Asian Medicine offers the opportunity to continue serving your community while building a rewarding profession that promotes healing, wellness, and hope.

Our graduates care for patients experiencing a wide range of health concerns, including:

  • Chronic pain
  • Neurological disorders
  • Musculoskeletal injuries
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Stress, anxiety, and PTSD support*
  • Sleep disorders
  • Sports injuries
  • Digestive concerns
  • Women’s and men’s health
  • General wellness and preventive care

*Acupuncture can be part of a broader treatment plan. Individual results vary, and veterans should continue working with their healthcare providers.

A Natural Fit for Veterans

Military service develops skills that translate directly into healthcare.

Veterans often excel because they possess:

  • A commitment to service
  • Strong communication skills
  • Leadership and professionalism
  • Calmness under pressure
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Respect for teamwork
  • Dedication to lifelong learning
  • A desire to improve the lives of others

These qualities provide an excellent foundation for success in acupuncture and integrative healthcare.
