Books & Supplies

Dragon Rises College strives to make your educational experience as convenient and affordable as possible by providing many of the materials you’ll need throughout the program.

Included with Tuition

The following items are provided by the College at no additional cost:

  • Two (2) sets of Dragon Rises College scrubs and official college patches during your first semester. Solid-color scrubs are the required uniform for all on-campus classes, hybrid learning weekends, and clinical training.
  • Required textbooks and eBooks for each course, distributed at the beginning of each semester whenever available.
  • Acupuncture practice kits for use in didactic acupuncture technique courses.
  • Clean Needle Kit 

Clinical Supplies

Beginning with the Clinical Internship sequence (typically the 6th semester), students are responsible for purchasing the supplies needed to treat patients in the Dragon Rises College Acupuncture Clinic.

Required clinical supplies include, but are not limited to:

  • Acupuncture needles
  • Clean field supplies
  • Other clinic materials as specified by the Clinical Department

Students will receive purchasing information and supply requirements prior to beginning clinical internship.

Technology Requirements

A reliable laptop computer is required throughout the program for accessing the Learning Management System (LMS), completing coursework, taking examinations, and participating in online learning activities.

Please note:

  • A Windows or Mac laptop is required.
  • Tablets, iPads, Chromebooks, and smartphones are not suitable replacements for a laptop computer.
  • Computers are not included in tuition and must be supplied by the student.

Medical Equipment

Students enrolled in Western biomedical coursework will be required to obtain the following equipment:

  • Stethoscope
  • Blood pressure cuff (sphygmomanometer)
  • Digital thermometer

These items are not included in tuition and should be purchased before they are required in class. Faculty will provide guidance regarding recommended models and specifications.
