Ewa was born in war-ravaged Europe and escaped Communism to become an immigrant in the US. Her book, “Child of War”, deals with the trauma of war, a dramatic escape, the loss of all that was familiar, and the difficulties of adapting to life in a foreign land. These are experiences which resonate today with a broad range of people. Memories of her life are used to illustrate that theme throughout. Finally, the book presents a path for healing.
