“It was an amazing experience. Being able to see the anatomy up close and how the needles go through each layer really helped seal the gap between what were are being taught and what is happening on the body.I can’t wait for the next lab!”
Annette Brody (Current Student)
“I really enjoyed the lab session. I find myself constantly referencing the lab as my classes progress. It helped me understand deeper levels of many of my classes, especially anatomy and meridians. The information really made an impact.”
Kristina Kilpatrick (Current Student)
Dragon Rises is proud to be the only acupuncture college in the region to offer this unique educational experience to all students.
Each semester students have the opportunity to participate in a weekend-long, in-house cadaver lab at our Bradenton campus where they will be able to see, palpate, and even needle the structures to see what tissue is affected.
Course description:
(Cadaver Lab Palpation) CLP 101, 102, 103 20 hours, 1 elective credit
The cadaver lab coursework will involve dissection of sections of fresh cadavers to gain an in depth understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the body, the structures involved in the meridians and collaterals of the body, as well as target tissues/structures for needling angle and depth. The coursework will be paired with palpatory practice on fellow students, reflecting the anatomy dissected in the cadaver lab portion.
