So now what do you do? Now, it’s time to think about the next phase of your life. What do you want to do? You can get a civilian job, you can take a well-deserved vacation, or you can spend time with the family. But we all know, you want to be active and are likely to think about the long haul and your future. You want to take advantage of your skills or learn something completely different. Up to now, you have led a life of service to others; it’s who you are, it’s what you are meant to do!
Think about this: You can continue your service efforts and continue to help others by becoming an Acupuncture Physician. Have no medical background? Didn’t complete college to receive your AA degree? Believe it or not, regardless of what your MOS was in the service, your Joint Services Transcript (JST), along with your other college training, will count together. Just think…you can do what you are good at, helping others in need. It’s not that far from what you did in the military, maybe just a different avenue of service.
As an Acupuncture Physician, you would be able to serve people from all walks of life find a better, healthier way to live. Helping them to see they have more options aside from prescriptions with heavy side effects and surgeries with lengthy recoveries. Using natural herbs and acupuncture to remedy their illness, or to just assist them in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Now you are asking yourself: Can I do this? I have no medical training, and I don’t want to spend 8 to 10 years in school with hours of laborious studying and long hospital shifts. I have spent so much time away from my family, and I can’t do it again. Well, you don’t have to do that. Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine may be the perfect option for you. Our acupuncture degree program is only 40 months long, and we have both on-campus and hybrid options for learning. Our classes run on a consistent schedule, and most people find it works well around family life and even work hours.
