Professional Licensure Disclosure

Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine’s Master of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine degree program is designed to meet the educational requirements for licensure as an Acupuncture Physician (AP) in the State of Florida. Graduates must also satisfy all requirements established by the Florida Board of Acupuncture, including examinations, background screening, application requirements, and any additional requirements in effect at the time of application.

Licensure requirements vary by state and are subject to change. Students who intend to practice outside Florida are responsible for reviewing the requirements of the jurisdiction in which they intend to practice. Completion of the program does not guarantee licensure, certification, employment, or eligibility to sit for any licensing examination.

Students should contact the applicable state licensing board before enrolling and again prior to applying for licensure.

State Licensure Determination Table

Current State Licensure Determinations: This state-by-state licensure determination table is reviewed and updated as state licensing requirements change. Students are responsible for confirming current licensure requirements with the applicable licensing board in the state or jurisdiction where they intend to practice.

Relocation During Enrollment

Students who relocate to another state while enrolled must notify the College. Relocation may affect the student’s ability to continue in the program, complete clinical education requirements, receive financial aid, or meet professional licensure requirements in the new jurisdiction.
