Ricardo Morales has been in practice in Sarasota for over 19 years. He received his degree in Oriental Medicine from the East-West College of Natural Medicine, where he finished a private internship with Dr. Shan Liang (M.D., China). He later returned to the college as a member of their adjunct faculty where he taught Chinese herbal medicine and supervised the interns in the student clinic. Then served as the Head of the Chinese herbal medicine department. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at dragon rises college of oriental medicine teaching Chinese herbal medicine classes.

Professor Morales has extensive training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathic and vitamin injections, guasha, and cupping. He has also taken advanced training in acupuncture point injection therapy (APIT) and biopuncture under Dr. Donese Worden , as well as the founder of biopuncture Dr. Jan Kersschot. He currently teaches the 60 hour APIT certification course required by the state of Florida for licensure. His private practice, Morales Acupuncture and Holistic is located in downtown Sarasota. Professor Morales is board certified by the state of Florida.
